Fun Fotos was created in 1993 as an "old time portrait studio". The focus changed in the late '90s-still involved with the fun photography industry but with a new twist-photo sculpturing. It arrived on the web in February 2001. Fun Fotos remains a family-owned company. With the idea of displaying pictures instead of putting them away in an album or box, Fun Fotos' cutouts, pop outs, key rings, ornaments and magnets have been found in the homes of Hollywood stars, Nashville singers, Mardi Gras Queens & Kings, professional athletes and in the White House. From the USA, to Ireland to Australia to Novia Scotia, working with professional photographers and "Average Jo(e)s" alike. Marilyn Lyons, the owner of Fun Fotos, is an award-winning photographer with an Associate of Photographic Technology degree from the Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology. The same design concepts practiced in photography are reflected in Fun Fotos' photo sculptures. Fun Fotos' sculptors were trained by the pioneers of the industry, those who own the patent, and practice the original process which brought the concept it's popularity. Marilyn is involved with the design and creation of each photo figure.
